ThorHelical Remedial ProductsDuncan Contracts, as an Approved Installer for the well proven range of ThorHelical masonry repair products, is able to overcome all commonly occurring structural faults.

ThorHelical has engineered a comprehensive range of high performance stainless steel ties, fixings and masonry repair and reinforcement systems that sympathetically and cost-effectively provide solutions to the problems of failed masonry. Its innovative system secures and reinforces existing masonry, redistributing structural loads and, in many subsidence situations, offers an economical non-disruptive alternative to traditional underpinning methods.

Solutions for:

Specially developed concealed installation techniques enable ThorHelical products to restore structural integrity to existing masonry, avoiding disruptive and expensive taking down and rebuilding and leaving little visible sign of the work undertaken. Effective in bricks, blocks, stone, concrete, timber and local construction materials, they have been successfully employed on all types of masonry structures, from houses and tower blocks to churches, bridges and chimneys and are well suited to historic or listed buildings.

All products are manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 quality assured standards and are durable, reliable, easily installed and stress-free by accommodating normal building movement. They have been independently tested, approved and widely used for over 25 years, providing significant benefits compared to traditional repair methods in terms of time and cost savings, aesthetic appearance and minimal disturbance to both the structural fabric and buildings' occupants.

Duncan Contracts provides a comprehensive service throughout East Anglia, including surveys, technical advice, designed repairs and professional installation. We also offer insurance backed warranties for all work and materials.

Expert subsidence repairs, investigation and restoration

When the very fabric of a building has been damaged by ground movement, you need to act quickly as you really are on borrowed time. The specialists at Duncan Contracts have years of experience offering a high quality, professional and cost effective subsidence restoration service used by many of the leading insurance companies.

Any part of a building may suffer damage due to ground movement. To all outward appearances the damage may appear minor, with cracks in the brickwork and distortions in the general fabric. However, the function of the affected parts of the building will have a significant impact on the type of subsidence repair which may be required.

The first requirement of any subsidence restoration job is to assess structural soundness. Important load bearing elements will require a structural repair. Where brickwork has cracked it is essential that the strength is restored. Where damage is severe this can only be achieved by taking down brickwork and starting again. In lesser cases brickwork can be repaired by injecting resins into the cracks, producing joints that are effectively stronger than the bricks themselves.

There are a number of proprietary repairs to brickwork and concrete that are presently available. These usually involve the introduction of steel reinforcement to the masonry and locking it in place using either resins or cement-based materials.

No subsidence repair job is too big or too small

Duncan Contracts prides itself on the highly specialised skill base of its workforce. All the jobs carried out by us are completed by locally based, in-house tradesmen who, through years of experience, know all the pitfalls of subsidence restoration.

We have the expertise to deal with all variety of subsidence repairs, from initial diagnosis including the excavation of trial pits, exposing drains and foundations, to hand auger sampling, drain pressure tests and drainage surveys, onto design and repair resolutions, using both conventional and piled solutions.

If you are looking for high quality subsidence repair and building restoration in East Anglia then call Duncan Contracts on 01473 221 899 today.
